National Strategy for Socio-Economic Development 2001- 2010

The 7th Party Congress endorsed the 1991-2000 Strategy for Socio-Economic Stabilization and Development. The 9th Congress is to evaluate the implementation of that Strategy and decide upon the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development during the first decade of the 21st century. The Strategy focuses on accelerating industrialization, laying the foundation for the country to become a fully industrialized state by 2020.

Directions and Tasks for the Five Year Socio-Economic Development Plan (2001 - 2005)

The five-year socio-economic development plan is an important initial step in implementing the ten-year socio-economic development strategy (2001-2010).

 

The Comprehensive Poverty Reduction and Growth Strategy (CPRGS)

An action plan that translates the Government's Ten-Year Socio-economic Development Strategy, Five-Year Socio-economic Development Plan as well as other sectoral development plans into concrete measures with well-defined road maps for implementation.

The National Strategy on HIV/AIDS was formulated on the basis of multisectoral coordination with the active support of UN organizations, international organizations and individuals that are supporting the HIV/AIDS prevention and control programme in Vietnam.

National Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for HIV Prevention and Control Programs

This framework brings together a set of key indicators on HIV prevention and control
activities in Viet Nam. It is intended for use by national and provincial programme managers and
others involved in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating HIV prevention and control
activities. This framework also supports the use of information from these activities for improved
policy-making and programming

Law on Gender Equality

This law provides for principles of gender equality in all fields of social and family life, measures ensuring gender equality, responsibilities of agencies, organizations, families, individuals in exercising gender equality.

Law on Domestic Violence

This Law regulates the prevention and control of domestic violence, protecting and assisting the victims of domestic violence; the responsibilities of individuals, families, organizations, institutions in domestic violence prevention and control and dealing with the breach of the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Cotrol.

Gender Mainstreaming Guidelines in National Policy Formulation and Implementation

This NCFAW publication aims to support all government officials to understand their roles and responsibilities, develop the skills needed to contribute to achieving gender equality for Viet Nam through their daily work.
