Vietnamese radio drama aims to halt HIV, boost gender equality Ha Noi, 27 March 2008 – The real lives of Vietnamese youth have been dramatized for the first-ever national radio soap series. The difficulties of communicating with parents, enduring domestic violence, living with HIV and much more come to life in Radio the Voice of Vietnam’s (VOV) The Desire of Life which hits the national airwaves on Sunday, 6 April. The soap opera is supported by UNFPA with funds from the Danish Government (DANIDA) and technical assistance from U.S.-based non-governmental organization Population Media Center (PMC).
