#ForEveryAge - Voices from women and girls in Viet Nam on ageing with dignity

Like many countries in Asia Pacific, Viet Nam is facing rapid population ageing with women constituting the majority of the elderly population.

What choices could women have made that would have shaped her future? What choices can girls make now to ensure she ages with dignity?

This video features women and girls of different ages as they reflect on healthy and active ageing and what it means to them.

While there is no single comprehensive policy to address population ageing, UNFPA advocates for policies that adapt a life-cycle approach with women and girls' rights at its core. It is by investing in each stage of life, starting from before a girl's birth to her childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, that women - and entire countries - will be able to enjoy healthy and active ageing.
