Ha Noi, 27/4/2020- A ceremony to present the Appreciation in Recognition of Mr. Nguyen Bich Lam, Director General of the General Statistics Office (GSO) for his contribution to the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action in the field of statistics in Viet Nam was held in Ha Noi by UNFPA and GSO.
At the ceremony, Ms. Naomi Kitahara, UNFPA Representative in Viet Nam stressed that Mr. Nguyen Bich Lam is not only a great leader with strategic vision for the development of statistics, but also a devoted statistician, a reliable partner for UNFPA.
In his thank-you speech, Mr. Nguyen Bich Lam noted he has received close cooperation and respect from UNFPA in all statistical activities and operations over the past years. He hoped that in the coming time, GSO will continue receiving close cooperation with UNFPA in order to achieve more success for the development of the country and the GSO.
