The 2019 Population and Housing Census collected basic information on the demographics of over 96.2 million people who were primary residents of nearly 26.9 million households in Viet Nam at 0:00 a.m. on 1 April 2019. To supplement information gathered on fertility, mortality, and migration, data on labor and employment and household living conditions was collected from the sample survey of 9% of households nationwide (approximately 8.2 million persons living in more than 2.3 million households). This publication presents the process of preparing and organising data collection together with the Census results.
