This publication is the fifth report in the series of lessons learnt and best practices in reproductive health supported by UNFPA in 2007. Gender-based violence programming review
The qualitative review was undertaken in 2006 to indentify successful Gender-based violence programming in Viet Nam, the challenges faced, and future areas of proposed action. It is intended to inform policy makers, programme managers and concerned agencies about the design and implementation of GBV related programmes /projects crucial for achieving the objectives of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and the International Conference on Population and Development in Viet Nam. It was published in October 2007 in both English and Vietnamese.
Internal Migration in Viet Nam - The Current Situation
Based on of the results of the 2004 Viet Nam Migration Survey conducted by General Statistics Office, this booklet summarizes the major findings of the survey as well as information from other reliable sources, so that non-demographers can have a better understanding of the situation of internal migration in Viet Nam. It was published in June 2007 in both English and Vietnamese.
Internal Migration and Related Life Course Events
The study based on the results of Viet Nam Migration Survey 2004 conducted by the General Statistics Office. It is a further step in the on-going analyses of the relationship between migration and other important events in the life cycle of migrants. It was published in December 2006 both in English and Vietnamese.
Final report of the CP6 cooperation between Viet Nam and UNFPA (2001-2005)
This report reviews the Sixth Country Programme (CP6) in terms of programme implementation, achievements, lessons learnt and recommendations. It also serves as basic orientations for the Seventh Country Programme (CP7) between the Government and UNFPA in 2006-2010. It was published in 2006 in both English and Vietnamese.
Maternal Mortality in 2005
Far too many women around the world are still dying giving life. New global figures released by WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA and The World Bank show that the world's maternal mortality ratio (the number of maternal deaths per 100,000 live births) is declining too slowly to meet Millennium Development Goal (MDG) 5, which aims to improve maternal health and prevent women from dying in pregnancy and childbirth. It was published in 2007 in English.
The Quality of Life of Migrants in Viet Nam
Based on the results of Viet Nam Migration Survey 2004 conducted by the General Statistics Office, the study is a further step in the on-going analyses of the relationships between employment and labor market participation, housing and other living conditions. It aims to assess how the quality of life of migrants is impacted by factors including with migration type, migration registration status and length of time spent at the destination. It was published in December 2006 both in English and Vietnamese.
CP7 Baseline Survey Report on provision and utilisation of RH care services in 7 provinces: Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Tien Giang, Ha Giang, Kon Tum, Ben Tre
This survey report provides valuable information on the provision and quality of reproductive health services in light of the National Standards and Guidelines for Reproductive Health Care Services. In addition, the report describes the planning, monitoring and evaluation process undertaken by UNFPA and concerned organisations for the Country Programme. It was published in 2006 in both English and Vietnamese.
